Hi all, I have been looking at the NZXT Sentry LX monitor and was wondering if anyone actually is using it?
Thanks for any feedback.
Cheers

re:

Hi there thanks for the heads up and with what you explained its totally put me right off lol

Bit confused about what you use instead ? "Akasa AK-CB002 PWM Fan Splitter Cable"

As its not really monitoring anything:confused:

I do like the idea of taking the load of the motherboard though and will get myself a set:D

Cheers and thanks

You can monitor the fan using cpuid hardware monitor for fan speed. These cable are great and lots better than rubbish Sentry LX fan controller. And save your money too.

So how do these leads work? it looks like one of the leads plugs into the cpu fan motherboard socket and the other to a main power plug?
Cheers and thanks

Basically, one of the plugs goes to the motherboard CPU header, for direct PWM control. You can then connect 3 fans to that, and they can be controlled by Speedfan or whatever. The molex doesn't actually need to be plugged in, but it does relieve the motherboard header, which might not be able to cope with the draw of 3 fans.

i've got one, it's pretty good for monitoring, but as bulldog has said the batteries die pretty fast, and occasionally it'll beep saying a fan isn't working but it is...
