I wonder how much they retail for.

NZXT’s Sleeved LED Kit will be available at the end of the month for the MSRP of $9.99(1M) and $14.99(2M)

so it will prob's be £7-10 for the 1M and £15-20 for the 2M, since we allways pay a lot more

Bah... Make your own! Phenoptixs sell really nice SMD LED tape, pre wired for 12v. They are really bright! I guess these kits are made of the sane stuff. I'm making some at the mo, I'll post pics when I finish

Those pics are pretty accurate in brightness I'd say, no exposure funny business

Here's some pics of the SMD LED tape arrays I've installed... apologies for the messy desk/rubbish cable tidying, I've been stripping down and rebuilding my PC lately

Camera is a rubbish Casio Elixim 9.1MP compact.

There are 5 strips of 3 SMD LEDs mounted on the underside of the top 200mm fan in my Antec Mini P180. You may be wondering why I'd bother with lighting when I don't have a windowed case... Well I like tinkering with LEDs and it gives a nice glow to the top vent, especially in the dark :)

I imagine the NZXT kits use similar LEDs

The NZXT ones seem to be a small standard shaped LED rather than SMD as used on tapes. They are probably more wide view angle types though.

The round LEDs tend to have a poorer viewing angle than the SMDs., producing a cone of light. I've lots of ideas for next build, these SMD tape kits are so damn easy to work with and conceal!
