Hi all, i fancy o/c'ing my Gigabyte 8800gts 320. I've heard that a good app to do this is Rivatuner. Is this correct and what would be a good o/c? Atm i'm stock (obviously) @ 513/792/1118(shader)

I'm also a bit peeved at the fact that I bought this card on impulse (£170) a week before the GT came out!! Gutted!!

Im using "Expertool" at the moment, moved after rivatuner stopped working with driver change (I know it works now though).

Ive got my 640mb GTS to 660 core, 1000 memory, and 1500 shader. Been running like this for about 5 weeks, with no problems at all.

Good luck!

My BFG I get artifacts at 650/1800/1500

The artifacts are kinda textures that end up stretching out from objects, is this the core not taking kindly to the overclock?

If I remember flashing triangles and textures = too overclocked memory, and the huge texture/model glitches are related to the core?

I've tried using ATITool.. however it just seems to move everything up in 100mhz increments till my PC locks.. Is there a way to force the HSF to run at 100% all the time, I have this set in nVidia Control Panel but it seems far too quiet..

use rivatuner to set fan speed and overclocks, it's more stable for that than atitool.
but, use atitool "scan for artifacts" to test stability.
atitool will go up in 1MHz steps if you use the arrow keys
