OK guys I now have my new build setup and overall am pretty chuffed with how it is running. My next step is to o/c it but am curious to know if all I need to do is run one of the preset overclocks in the bios. If not, does anyone have any recommended o/c settings for an i7 2600k on an ASRock Z68 Extreme 7 Gen 3?

One of my concerns is about whether a preset will o/c the memory too? Currently my memory seems to be running at 1333 instead of 1600. Your feedback is welcome as always and my rig is updated in my sig :-)

You're going have to set the default memory in the bios yourself if it doesn't automatically recognise the default speed. With sandybridge processors, it is not recommended to overclock the RAM as the BCLK is linked to the RAM. The BCLK is normally set to 100 and the multiplier is set to whatever your desired clock speed is. So if you want 4.5GHz, you set the multiplier to 45.
