Hi, I'm planning to buy an upgrade disk for Lion when it's released, I'm still on Leopard at the moment. Will it let me upgrade from 10.5->10.7 or is the upgrade disk only for 10.6->10.7? I can't remember what the general Apple guidelines are.

Title should be 'OSX Lion upgrade from Leopard' but my laptop mouse was playing up and I didn't realise, can a mod edit it if it really matters, cheers.

If it's like every other OS X release it's sequential. Ie from tiger -> snow leopard required Leopard in between as the upgrade is one step at a time whereas the full version pack is there to cover zero/any version -> the current version.
Of course this may change with Lion.

Damn it, I had a feeling this was the case. Thanks!

Snow Leopard is the only version of OSX that was ever an 'upgrade' license, every single other version has been a standalone version.
