O11 Evo XL - Inverted case and airflow

Hi,
I spent a few hours inveting my O11D Evo Xl and installed fans, I had planned for input at the bottom and exhaust at the top. All looked ok until I thought about the GPU and that the fans will be trying to pull air from the top fighting with the exhaust fans.

My next thought was to change the fans around so input at the top, exhaust at the bottom and back which is also near the bottom. The AIO will be side mounted. I'm also considering having the PC sit on some standoffs to raise it another couple of CM above the dolly it will be on.

Anyone done this or can think of a reason it wont work, I know hot air rises but the fan should easily be able to override this

Thanks

You can do bottom and top intake and side exhaust.

Your dilemma is the reason I’ve always struggled to use the Evo inverted.

The desk I use now won’t allow the PC on it, and the only available space is at the left of the desk, otherwise would affect too much the room layout.

At the time, now using the Fractal North, I simply decided to keep it as standard.

Thanks, my reasoning for inverting was the same, I can only put on left side and wont actually see it in a standard build, at least I can see some of it if I invert it.

Ive spent £100 on reverse flow fans so far so would need to get some more if I were to change it. I suppose I can set it top incoming and bottom exhaust, I can then get a baseline then flip the fans over.

Waiting for new AMD boards so havent got anything to put in it yet
