Hi,

Iv just been on Samknows and discovered that O2/Be Unlimited LLU services are going to be enabled @ my exchange on 30th June 2008, Im currently with UKFSN (Entanet reseller) with an ADSL Max service.

Can anybody give me details on what Be unlimited are like as a provider? what speeds can be achieved on a good line and what their customer service is like?

Wouldn't get your hopes up for the activation either, Be* quite often will change them at the last minute. Might be a good idea to phone them for confirmation.

Also if you do end up going with them sign up through quidco as they do a good cashback deal, £50 or something like that.

I'm with Be Unlimited and they have been superb for me. Very very fast, no downtime, no latency issues whatsoever in games. The only problem I had was the router they provided would occassionally crap out and reboot under heavy load. (I have a lot of wired and wireless devices in my home all connected to it) That was easily fixed when I put my own router in place though.

I'd venture to say they are the best ISP available at the moment, very quick with no downtime and pretty damn cheap too.

Unlimited is actually unlimited, 24/7, very fast speeds.

Never had to phone support so wouldn't know what it's like :D

And all for £18/month? Can't go wrong tbh.

Ordered O2 sometimes last week and its getting connected tomorrow

Very fast service so far, and pretty good customer service. Not sure about their actual speed yet. Stay tuned

I should be on their service tomorrow, been waiting since March for the exchange to go live, indeed they do move the rfs dates so keep your eye on the website, they have an irc server that has people who work for be* on during the working day I have found them very helpful when I asked them about the exchange

Is this the offer via one of the guys here on this forum? If so I'll have to ring up and put my mac code in - just been waiting for it.

What sort of speeds could I get?

I currently have the below stats

linestat.JPG
and currently syncing at

DownStream Connection Speed 6912 kbps
UpStream Connection Speed 448 kbps

on UKFSN ADSL Max.

Looks like you need to update your router's firmware - the bug where attenuation/SNR figures got swapped around is a *VERY* old one.

What firmware version are you on?

Those attenuation figures look very dodgy to me, given your sync speed. Either that or you've got a very noisy line.

Im using firmware version

V3.01.31 (DG834G v2), im going to upgrade to V3.01.38 later on this evening.

You'll probably want to change over to broadcom chipset router if/when you upgrade to ADSL2+ with Be/o2. Iirc, the older G models (pre v4?) use the texas instruments chipset and won't hold up very well with adsl2+.
