So I come home to find a bill from CPW with O2 stamped on it for my iPhone 3G. Fyi I am on the £45 a month tariff.

Basically everything is fine except I have been charged for browsing the Interwebs? (Correction, downloading apps from the looks of it) Quick cut & paste below from a message I sent to O2...

"However the Mobile Internet Browsing section is showing a charge of £22 at 00:10 on the 22nd of July for downloading 8828.0kb. Given that I had my iPhone at this point I am confused as to why I have been charged for Internet when my tariff states that I have unlimited browsing. Would it be possible to clarify me on this please?"

Has anyone else had anything similar yet?

Unless it was something downloaded outside of the T+Cs of the unlimited net bolt on then it will probably just be an admin error. Give them a ring.

Give them a ring. I upgraded on a Saturday and my contract wasn't properly changed until the Monday.

The result - a whopping £36 internet usage charge!! One phonecall to 202 later and the charges have been credited back.

Cheers Diggsy, looks like I'll need to do that.

I just got a helpful email back from a chap at O2 and he has confirmed that I haven't been charged any internet fees at all. This bill that arrived today from CPW is a balls up on their behalf it seems. That 8mb of download was me downloading apps for sure as I had just received my iPhone the day before - so they hadn't switched me over in time.
