hi guys,

My o2 broadband went live today, just connected it up using the setup disc on my laptop and all is working fine wirelessly :) however, at no point during installation did it give me options to set the network name or a password.

Now from my other laptop, I can find the wireless network, my question is how do I connect to it? It's asking for a network key, where do I find this? This is probably a basic question but when it comes to this kinda stuff I haven't got a clue at all :o

Also, how secure is the wireless network? Will it have some basic default password allowing anyone to connect to it?

If you have the o2 wireless box then the key and SSID should be on the router itself, look at the bottom and it should be there.

Hope this helps.

I'm not sure on the address of your router but assuming that it's the same one as Be send out, try http://192.168.1.254/ from the one with net and on the left hand side there should be a Home Network tab, there should be a list of devices and under wireless there'll be something beginning with WLAN: click that and then configure near the top and that should show your current settings and change them if you want.

Thanks Tombo, premist was right it was actually under the router itself :)

I'm assuming these keys are all unique right.
