I'll keep it brief!

Currently have O2 LLU service at home, moved house and want to move the broadband.

Phone up O2 to tell them, they then tell me my post code is "outside of their area", as such can't offer me the LLU service. However, the apartment above mine and next door have O2 LLU service. I asked them to do a search on phone number (as I know this is better) but the guy just said "no point, it's outside the area"

How do I tell O2 they are wrong and they do actually offer the LLU service in this area?

maybe phone up again and if the representitive says its not available, ask to speak to the manager regarding it. Infact cant you move the broadband online with o2 at all or is that not possible?

There is a form, however it says my phone number is "invalid" even though if I put it into their website as a new customer it recognises it fine.

lol okay phone up then i think. i think even if they dont provide llu o2 still have to provide you with the non-llu broadband. (not that you need to worry about non-llu if your neighbours have llu)

any chance you can ask the apartment above for their phone number to check it on the website and see what it says ?

^ That's what I'm going to do when I get home today and see what it says.

Weird thing is, according to samknows I connect to Sheffield Central exchange, which is LLU (obviously), however although the exchange is LLU enabled post code checks on other sites say that the POSTCODE isn't LLU enabled?!

wierd one, hope you get it sorted, looking to move myself, but for some reason virgin dont have the address listed, only one in the whole street :(.

Well, i've finally got an answer....Sheffield exchange is "at capacity"

They offered their rubbish access package but I decided to cancel, had a nice argument with O2 and refused to pay the cancellation fee as it's not my fault the exchange is full.

So that also rules out BE! I've had look at C&W through Xilo/ADSL24/UKFSN/Vivaciti and it seems a good deal as I can get it through LLU as well.
