So O2 tech support is closed and I was hoping that someone here had this combination, or knew how I can connect to the bb. It needs no username/password but it does need some other setting as the linksys router won't let that box be left blank

Any help would be massively appreciated!

Have a look here,
here is all the settings you will need,

O2 Broadband Settings

Code:
    ISP name: O2 Home Broadband
    Multiplexing method: LLC-Based
    VPI: 0
    VCI: 101
    Username: leave blank
    Password: leave blank
    Domain name: leave blank
IP address type: this depends on whether you chose our static IP address option or not:
If you didn't choose our static IP address option, set this to dynamic IP
If you did choose our static IP address, enter the IP address printed in your welcome letter
DNS servers: choose to get these dynamically from the Internet provider
    NAT: enable
    Primary DNS server: 87.194.255.154
    Secondary DNS server: Leave blank

With that being said i have to turn off the O2 router and wait 30 mins to a hour before.

Thanks very much, I have it working now but it is awfully slow. - 512kbps on a speed test, connected at 1mb on the router.

There is a problem with the linksys router not being able to leave the username and password blank, I will call them tomorrow and see what they can do for me, as this is just as bad as the previous supplier :|

O2 Broadband phone support is 24x7 (and based in the UK). You can call them anytime on 0800 230 0202.

Was this the same router you were using with your old supplier? Didn't you get a new one when you joined O2? If you are getting connected then not being able to leave the username/password field blank isn't related to your issue.
