Thanks, Is it any good? Currently using Linksys WAG54G not sure whether it will be worth swapping them over.

I am on BeThere and I use it. Not just at my house at my mams house too and my grans and they have never had issues or anything that I am aware of. I have never had issues and the sync speeds are top notch. Never had disconnections or anything.

Just remember, they are on lease so you will have to return it or you get charged £100 for the privledge.

They're garbage, but probably no worse than your WAG54G.
The common suggestion on here is to buy an ex-Sky Netgear DG834GT and stick some third-party firmware on it.

You don't have to look hard, even on this forum, to find people complaining that it's unstable, overheats, doesn't give as good a sync rate as the DG834GT, has issues with some games, has an awful web interface with options removed...

Never really had any issues with my linksys but then i've never had another router to compare it to.

Will look into the netgear. Thought it was probably on lease, got a livebox which i guess orange will want back now.

I'm going to invest in a Netgear DG834GT as I've heard that they work well on O2.

The O2 wireless box II keeps on resyncing in the evenings despite me having a (requested) SNRM of 9 dB and interleaving switched on.

On Max DSL (with Zen), my connection was very stable for months on end using a SpeedTouch 585v6.

Strange how the SpeedTouchv7 (in the O2 router) isn't as good as it's based on the same chipset

I was thinking the o2 box was going to be rubbish after reading on here, and to be honest it's a good router,
I have never had this high sync rate than I do now, I don't get hardly any drop outs in connection.
I did try a DG834GT, with DGteam firmware, while the router was good with lots of options, it didn't sync as high as the o2 box and wasn't as stable,
BUT, this could be down to each individual line, best thing to do is try one and see, they can be had for 10 quid from the local auction site.

WAG54GS here.

Sync rate is much better, line is more stable and the wireless performance is far superior.
Not to mention a much nicer and more functional interface.

Just need turn on RFC 1483 bridging + ADSL2 and away you go.

Edit: Just a warning, you can't install the free McAfee security suite without using the o2 box. Bit of a pain but you can always just swap it out again once it's done :]

Sky router here (DG834GT) with DGTeam Firmware as my Thomson 780 (Bebox) will just stop working after a few days and needs powering down.

Never had an issue with the Be/O2 supplied router, obviously with the SuperUser account to get stats etc. The telnet interface is pretty powerful for a consumer box. Always on the lookout for improvements though but I don't think I'd gain anything from moving to another consumer product.
