o2 contract change

I think i got a similar email but decieded it was a fake/scam email as it said dear customer not my username and i don't think the links were correct either?

I got one as well, I was going to post about it.

When Orange did this a while back there was a loophole allowing anyone who was on whatever contract to opt out of it without facing any charges. Is it the same case in this situation?

thats what i was wondering, there is a clause that if the contract changes and they main billing cost increases you can choose to terminate the contract, but as i can't actually see any changes in the contract i doubt the billing will be changing either.

Just add my name to the list of people who got the e-mail.
I'd say that it is obviously a legit e-mail because what are the chances of them actually hitting this number of O2 users if it was a scam message.

I think the best thing to do is call up and ask them for the changes in the contract.
Legally they have to tell you.
Unfortunately I'm having a really busy week at work and simply haven't got the time at the moment to do it.
If however somebody fancies giving O2 CS a call and then posting back the resulting call....

Yeah me too.

I'm generally sick of o2, hopefully this re-inforces a case to cancel my online 100 contract as I'm just not getting value for money, or a remotely decent service.

Yeah, if someone can call cs up that be great, i currently can't as im not in the uk at the moment. I'd love to be able to get out of my contract it's rubbish to what is being offered now :(
