Could anyone explain a little about this? Is it used for port forwarding? Would it help my connection to the games if I set it up as I do have some problems with the odd drop out on Battlefield Bad Company 2 on the PS3.

Game & Application Sharing
This page summarizes the games and applications defined on your O2 wireless box II. Each game or application can be assigned to a device on your local network.

Universal Plug and Play

Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) is a technology that enables seamless operation of a wide range of games and messaging applications.

Use UPnP: Yes

Use Extended Security: No

Assigned Games & Applications

The table below shows the games and applications that are allowed to be initiated from the Internet.

You need to configure such games or applications if you like to act as a game server or share a server located on your local network with other people.

If you are simply a player or simply accessing the Internet, you don't need to configure games or applications.

----------------------------------------------

If so could you explain how its done? Just find the port and add the details?

Thanks

That page is for port forwarding, but as as per the description, it is unlikely you need to do it unless you are hosting your own game server or running P2P apps. Especially since uPnP is enabled and consoles are normally happy with this for opening ports as required.

If you do want to try forwarding some ports, try http://portforward.com/ and pick your router model and the game, for step by step instructions.
