Looking for a wee bit advice here,

Had an accident with my k800i this morning during which the screen got damaged to the point it is unreadable. My own stupid fault, but these things happen.

My belief was that it was covered under the home contents insurance, however after a spot of investigation I have since discovered this is not the case. Is it possible to pay o2 insurance up for a year and make a claim in one go. Orange offered a service similar to this.

Im hoping so otherwise im phoneless.

Cheers folks

I don't think so. Someone may correct me but with o2 you have 14 days from the opening of the contract to take out there insurance.

If you have cracked the screen buy one of ebay and replace it yourself, very easy to do and i had to do it as i had the same problem as you. will cost you half the price of what the insurance would have.

Little know O2 fact.
If you have reasonably high(ish) bills, O2 will do one off replacements for broken phones, if you have no insurence, but it'll cost you £50 and you get a refub (although you may be luck to get a new one).

O2 don't shout about this, and I've been offered this (Even though I had insurence). But that was with O2 Select.
