o2 internet gone slow?

Anyone else on o2 broadband noticing slow downs? I have had issues with lag in online gaming over the past 2 days which prompted me to do a random speedtest to see if that showed anything. I normally get around 10-12 meg (on upto 24) and the results I just got show:

download - 6 meg
upload - 0.3 meg

1) Anyone else on o2 having issues?
2) Would the above results cause lag in online gaming?
3) Is it time for me to move to optic fibre?

I rarely download anything these days, only really use my internet to play online and general browsing so I need lag free gaming first and foremost! It's been rubbish the past 2 days.

Online gaming is more about the latency than it is about the throughput.

Run http://sourceforge.net/projects/winmtr/ against an affected game server during peak-time and post the result.

Also since December o2 are throttling everyone on the new packages, so this could be the reason, although not sure why it's only happening now and not a month ago.

If your on a legacy package you should not be affected by this though.
