o2 Latencies appauling?

I am in the Northwest region of the UK and for the last couple of months I think, my latency has not dropped under 130ms or so. Download speed is okay still, usually 2+MBPS just latency. Ever since we connected with them on our router it has said, ADSL 2+ Connecting... and not got any further. Anybody else experiencing crap pings from o2 (I think BeUnLimited too). Any help guys? Should I reset router?

Go to 192.168.1.254

Then change user and sign in as:

user: SuperUser
password: O2Br0ad64nd

Click on Broadband Connection -> DSL Connection -> View More

Then post all information there.

There doesn't seem to be any widespread problem on Be's network

Who told you this information sorry? I just tried fiddling around with some stuff last night, completely screwed it up. Lucky I have got it working again.

What did you try fiddling with exactly? The steps that ghost101 provided were just to get some information from the router (line stats) - you didn't need to change anything.

I did something in the IP address stuff, I dunno why. I didn't read it properly lol. Doesn't matter, all is fixed.

Just Speedtest.net to the Maidenhead server. It is okay at the moment, around 60 on a Sunday afternoon, not too bad.

Speedtest.net is complete garbage. Try the latency to something like jolt.co.uk, or cern.ch (with Start, Run, cmd, ping [name]).

i use it to check when my in game ping goes silly and its always close enough to be of use, will check your suggestion in future to compare.
