Having some problems with the O2 LLU connection we have right now with it dropping almost at random although more commonly in the evening - has any experienced similar issues?

Also the contract with O2 is due to end in January - would there be any benefit to switching to a different supplier? (Sky will save us money!)

My thinking is that it would all be the same line therefore the connection will likely suffer from the same issues.

Anyone have any opinions on Sky LLU services?

:)

if the router is losing sync, that would indicate a problem between the house and exchange. it's unlikely swapping ISP would solve this. having said that, sky LLU is supposed to be very good so you should definitely switch to save some cash.

for your problem, the first thing to do is try plugging your router directly in the BT test socket. all you have to do is unscrew the faceplate and you'll find a telephone socket behind it.

I had a similar issue. Called o2 who sent out a BT openworld engineer. Engineer said my line was rubbish, went out to the cabinet in the street and switched me to the best available line. Went from a flakey 2.5mb connection to a 6.5mb one! :D

Will give that a try and see how it runs for a bit. Seems our house was wired by a blind, drunk and drugged up idiot though. Utter mess by the master socket.

Fingers crossed that's were we end up :D

Used to connect and run at around 13Mb/s now lucky to get 7. Shouldn't complain really but still....

Your lucky, I had simular problems but O2 didn't want to do anything for me - in fact they told me they wouldn't do anything for me. That was untill I called to cancel, which was too late for them.
