Basically my contract is about to finish and i want to change to a more expensive tariff 3 times as much as i am currently paying i would also like a k800i. So i phoned up and asked them for this and they told me i could have that tariff but the phone would cost £120.

Yet if im a new customer and do it through the o2 website the phone is free?

I really cant be bothered with them basically all im looing for is around 200/300mins anytime and about 500 texts and a free k800i any suggestions?

I hate the fact they treat new o2 customers better than existing ones, i have been with them for 6 years and spent god knows how much.

Tell them you're going to cancel with them and I'm sure you'll end up getting the phone free.

i did, they werent bothered.

at the mo i my contract is £10 monthly that is reduced from £20 monthly cos i paid for my last phone.

i wouldnt mind paying around £30 if the tariff is ok

Play hard ball, seriously. Say your going to change companies, drop other companies names, they will come crawling the next couple of days.

I had to recently cancel my contract cause basically I had the phone in my name and lied about my age. They didn't catch on but I thought that they would this time so I didn't renew.

Rang me up yesterday "Ok, £22.50 a month, 1600 minutes, 800 texts and a k800i delivered free". I still can't get it, going to have to take it out in a parents name. How lame.

But yea, play hard ball, you will get rewards for it.

i don't know how you managed to swing that deal because they wouldnt even give me a standard tariff £30 month and a k800i free. when that is what they offer to new customers anyway.

I tried 'hard ball' i said 'ok this is no help at all, the fact that you cant offer me what a new customer can get is ridiculous im going to cancel my contract as orange can offer me a better deal'

she just said 'ok you just need to ring the disconnections department'

obviously they dont value me as a customer.

I was a student, i dont think i could get away with it now even tho my student card is still valid.

I've always have this problem with O2, and to be honest, there are better deals around on other tariff.

Been with orange for the last few years, and never looked back.

well i just need to find a decent one thats the thing.
