Anyone on O2 having problems with voice/sms? I have no voice/sms signal at all... seems via twitter search that it is quite widespread :mad::mad:

Does O2 ever have a signal???

Prolly one of the worst network providers in this respect.

In your area, maybe. Around these parts it's one of the only - if not THE only - providers with a full signal no matter where you go in town. For example, my mate on Orange can't get a signal at home unless he's (1) hanging out of the front living room window at a certain angle or (2) stood at the end of the back garden. Meanwhile, I'm chatting using O2 in his hallway or anywhere else I fancy lol

Weird I find the opposite (atleast down south) O2 I rarely don't have full signal even in the back of nowhere - whereas my phones on vodafone - often have poor signal and never get any reception in any place remotely out of the way.

EDIT: Same story when I was up in Scotland as well - could get decent signal on O2 right out to almost the middle of nowhere - where it did finally drop - whereas orange had very patchy coverage and vodafone and t-mobile were almost non existant.

Vodephone seems pretty bad from that map.

Anyway, still got full signal here on o2. I did no research whatsover on mobile carriers, o2 was the default iPhone carrier so i just went with them :p

Out in the sticks Vodafone are the best for me, signal is ok at best (in my area) on O2 but i don't rate the 3G coverage very highly.

Very odd cause i've found vodafone to be the best!

I've no idea if this is in anyway linked to what you have experienced, but we got an email today, at work, from our help desk saying

Colleagues,

O2 have made us aware of a problem with International roaming using mobile devices. Outbound roamers in various countries are unable to get a network signal. O2 are unable to give any indication of when this problem will be fixed. Further updates will be issued by us when available.
