Quick question, are o2 and o2 online still effectively different companies as in can you use a pac code to swap to o2 online? I am looking at getting a new contract and am after the samsung z650i which unfortonately only o2 seem to have at the moment.

Phone up customer services, they may be able to help you even though they're different branches of the same company.

you cannot port to the same network.
This rule is slightly different for O2 and O2 Online

Correct answer: yes you can port between the two companys - this applys to O2 only however.. just make sure you give them the PAC code within 14 days of connecting the contract.

Hope this helps :)

garyh is correct - O2 Retail and O2 Online are considered separate Service Providers, so you can use PAC codes to port your number from one to the other.

Likewise, when CPW Services used to handle Vodafone and O2 bills, you could port a CPWS Vodafone number to a Vodafone Retail contract using a PAC code too.

Hmm. I was told 30 days by a CS Rep over the phone - which is right, I wonder? because I might need to give them a PAC code after my 14 days is up...
