I have been with o2 for 3 months and I am on my 3rd router with them in the 1st month.

The one I have is the Thompson double antenna N class one (bag of pants). Each router just resets or packs in after loosing the connection.

I have got so frustrated that I got my old router (DG834G v3) Netgear, and manually put the o2 settings in. Boom worked a treat, been running fine now for just over 2 months.

The only issue I can see is that the connection speed has dropped by approx 10/20%.

Now been miles away from the exchange I only get 2.8mb at best but now only get 2.4 approx.

I have updated latest firmware and that made a small difference so how can I get my lost speed back?

If i remember from reading some threads elsewhere the O2 exchange hardware seems to like broadcom equipment better so unless your particular netgear model has a broadcom chip you might find that is the problem
