I have had an O2 contract for about 24months now, and i bought it online from the O2 website, all the upgrade phones that are on the net arent very good, but when i was in the O2 shop in town last week they had a phone that i would like to upgrade to, is there any difference between the two vendors.

Advise would be much appreciated.

yes. o2 Online offer different priced phone and different price plans, technically they are 2 different companies offering different services. i rang up today "O2 Online" and they said that i couldnt go into a shop and get the same phone & price plan, becasue they are different. strange really

You're not restricted to what is on the internet for an upgrade, you can ring O2 online (100 from your handset) and request the same handset you found in the shop.

If you don't know the model number and manufacturer simply go back into the store, make a note of it then request it from O2 Online.

Because O2 online have no store overheads the deals are slightly better than that found within the O2 store on the high street - however, the high street store has the convenience of you being able to walk in and get the phone there and then.

speaking of getting the phone there and then. i ordered of the O2 online shop on thursday and they said my phone was on its way to DHL for deliery and i rang up yesterday and now its out of stock????????????

what phone was that? just my girlfriend ordered her new phone on thursday from o2 online and was told it was in stock only to recieve an e-mail 4 hours later saying it was out of stock! so she phone up on sat and exactly the same thing - told it was in stock and would have it in a few days than a few hours later the same out of stock e-mail
