I have a 24month contract with O2 (tied in as a business customer when I got an iPhone)

I am due an upgrade after 12 months (August 10th) and I am looking at what is available. I want to get rid of my iPhone (as I think it is ****)

I want a smartphone with exchange email syncing. Any recommendations?

I must say though I am temped to bit the bullet and run the 24months down and dump O2.

The only thing is that leaves me with Vodafone as my only network choice. Where I live the only networks I can get a signal with at home are O2 and Vodafone. I have had Orange and T-Mobile handsets and they go out of coverage as soon as I get home.

I quite like the look of the Samsung i7500 and I *think* it has exchange support. It's due out next month.

I've dumped O2 and gone to Orange, its upgrade time and the choice of handsets is pathetic.

I'm thinking of doing the same next month. Had a look at what they had and unless you want an Iphone on a really crappy contract there is no decent choice.

Time to look up Orange I think.

Who knows?,all I can say is I've just been given a Blackberry 8800 and so I've switched to 02 (Virgin had no Blackberry service) and had nothing but great (UK based) tech support from them, pretty pleased withem at the mo, mind you I'm paying £20 a month for 600 minutes and 1200 texts with unlimited surfing and the BB service add on (sim only) so it's not a bad deal for me.

Only choice really is the Samsung Xperia or the 1st Touch Pro.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia is a pretty good phone (I almost went for it but got the Touch HD instead as I found the screen to small), however both phones are pretty old () already, especially the Touch pro, which has already been replaced.

I know - the Touch Pro and the XPeria X1 are both on O2 with nothing more recent. (Both are pretty much EOL at nearly 1 year old)

There are several more XDA brandd O2 devices due, oen of my friends in O2 retail mentioned this, but the names made no sense to him. Xperia X2 is almost about to be announced, it was supposed to be announced 2 weeks ago and was pulled at the last moment (literally).
