Hi guys,

I am due to go to Cyprus on wednesday and after working for experian in the past i am terrified of getting roaming charges/crazy bills. I would normally just grab a payg sim and pop that in (still might) but i have seen O2 Travel bolt on and it seems that that could be pretty decent?

It says that you pay 1.99 a day and you can access all of your data/calls/texts etc abroad. You are only charged the fee on a day that you use the data/calls etc on the phone. So i figure on the days i dont need it/can use wifi i could just turn mobile data off and not get the charge. But i will have access in an emergency.

Has anyone got any experience of using this in Cyprus and is it as easy as it sounds? I have visions of a massive many hundred pound bill with some spurious explanation like 'well your connection routed through turkey and so we charged you ... one BILLION dollars' etc.

What are peoples recommendations for when abroad (particularly in southern cyprus (Paphos). I need some sort of phone with data there as i have a Revolut card and that is all managed through a phone app.

Cheers for any help

Just returned from Cyprus and as i'm an O2 customer i can tell you that its £1.99 a day.
For the days i did turn it on that's all i was charged - even though it was sucky slow via the Cytanet network where i was staying.
