O2 unlock code

Sony fixed my phone and now its locked back to O2.
First contacted O2, who said go to Sony.
Sony cant help, told me to go to O2.
Back to O2, who cant help as I'm not the original account owner. They also said the IMEI is not on their system.

So can I buy one from somewhere just to stop going around in circles, if so wheres good?

Ebay would be your best bet ,you don't say which model sony ?

Xperia z5 premium.
Can use EBay, just didnt know if it were dodge

£3.70 on ebay if it dont work just get a refund.

The alternative (which is a bit more expensive) is to get an o2 pay as you go SIM card, top it up with £15 and put it in the phone remembering to turn off all mobile data settings, leave it for a few days and then call them to unlock it since the IMEI would now be on their system (the £15 credit would be used to pay for the unlock).

Yeah, saw that as an option, that will be my backup!
