O2 Wireless Box II any good?

Just received my wireless box II from O2 do I need to use this when my line gets activated or can I stick with the router ive already got its a ZyXeL P660 and it gets the best connection ive had with my current isp

As long as the P660 is ADSL2+ then yes you can use that. Otherwise you'll want to use the o2 wireless router or something else.

Yeah it is ADSL2+ I was reading somewhere that mac filtering may be enabled so it only allows the o2 box to connect does any one know if this is true?

it's a good box, it's a speedtouch 585v7 with o2 branding. Theres some stuff hidden but u can access it all with.

both of those are case sensitive. I suggest changing the password to something easier.

I've got an o2 box, it serves me alright, The upstairs computers gets a reliable wireless connection, and I have no problems with it.

It DC'd out maybe twice in 6 months, but thats more likely to be a connection problem.

If you want more features like shared prining facility, or a LAN disc drive to share files between computers, you may want to get something else. But the o2 box is good!!

In fact if/when I do move away from o2 I'd like to debrand this and keep for myself, my orange wifi router had to be returned when I terminated the contract with them.
