o2 wireless box II - Config?

Hi guys,

I've just moved from Sky to o2 broadband.

I flashed my old Netgear DG834GT router with Sky, improved things somewhat. Do people flash these o2 jobbies? The configuration seems limited on them.

I'll have two wireless 360's (worried about NAT on them), few wireless laptops, iPhones etc.

Do you still have the DG834GT? If you do then use it with this - http://dgteam.ilbello.com/index.php?pid=5 . Much better than what Be/o2 supply.

Probably tried this already, but have you tried using the SuperUser login with the o2 box?

No I haven't, I tried flashing the netgear and it did flash but only had my old Sky settings so will stick with the o2 for now.

How do you log in with SuperUser mate?

Also I have connected my laptop to the router wireless and its connected but the internet doesn't work, only with LAN?

Any ideas?

I've logged in as SuperUser now, a lot more options. Interface awful on these boxes.

How do I get internet over wireless?!

I'd probably just go ahead and get the Netgear working. Should be easy enough following this guide if you've already done the flashing.

It seems the wireless is woring with my PS3 and iPhone so its my laptop!

Whats the difference using the Netgear, will I get any benefit performance wise using it?

There's no username or password.

It's much more stable, higher synchs and copes better with more connections etc.

Ignore the firmware advice at the start, otherwise the process is still the same.

I only asked as I followed the guide and am still not connected. Not getting the ADSL info, It says it can take 20 minutes but its been longer now

Cloning the MAC address from the O2 box should negate the need to wait that long.

Sorted it now, needed my o2 username and password.

Bit of an obscure one but o2 gave me them details just now. Sorted
