Is there anything as good as, or close to it? I desperately need a phone soon and i can't actually wait much longer

Id personally wait for the HTC prophet (aka SPV M600 on orange), as its a nicer looking device, pretty similar in spec apart from that though.

Knowing HTC though, they will be in a lot bigger supply than the Atom.

AFAIK we're not geting the Atom over here, instead we're getting the Prophet aka iMate JAMin; which is pretty much the same spec.

Both however are available, though the former is an import rather than a UK release. Google the 2, and you should find somewhere that has them listed.

Also will i be able to use Skype with either of those? The processor is slow, but as i understand it, its like comparing clock speeds of AMD to intel right?

Damn no radio on either as well, was looking forward to that too

I wouldnt get an atom i had an atom as well as a jammin ...and im still using the jammin,Great device

So you have had both and would say yhe JAMin is the better of the two?

Like the look of them both but have already had the JAM so for a change was going to go for the ATOM but if what you say is true rarther than waiting for the ATOM might just get the JAMin. If it aint broke dont fix it I guess.

Yea defo prefer the jammin ...I updated the atom to the latest rom whilst i had it,there was a slight improvment but i still prefer the jammin.

I had the jam for a round a year too and would say the jammin is a good upgrade to the device and also find wm5 much better compared to 2003.

If you get 1 from expansys you can try them out for 21days and if you dont like it send it back.

Looks like i'll be getting the JAMin then. I'll report back when it arrives and give a little review of what its like. Still wish i could get the atom on import, it does seem to be ever so slightly better, and its been taken off the only site it was on
