O2 XDA orbit maps query ?

I'm thinking of getting this for it's GPS. I'm not bothered about the the Co-Pilot road maps as I've got a seperate stand alone Tom Tom Go. What I'd like to know is whether you can download other maps, like Ordinance survey or European maps onto your mini sd card and use them as a moving map passively, i.e. without being connected to the GPRS and incurring charges.

You don't get charged for using the GPS.

OK thanks, where's a good place to get European maps for this phone ?

You need sat-nav software befor you can download european maps (co-pilot or similar).

So if I get the Co-pilot software with the phone, I will then be able to download other map software ?

If Co-Pilot has a european map, i see no reason why you can't download it to the handset.

I'm not very familiar with Co-Pilot though, so I can't be sure.
