Oak desks

I wasn't quite sure where to post this but here felt as good a place as any.
I'm currently looking for a decent oak desk with a budget of no more than £500. Cheaper the better but I'd still like something half decent.

Does anyone have any particular recommendations?

Solid oak kitchen worktop. Add your own legs. It’s as elegant as you can make it and you’ll save yourself quite a bit of cash.

Seconded. Keep an eye on the weight if it's going upstairs - 2m long was about 80kg and not all that fun to carry.

Ah yes. I'd forgotten about the weight. I don't know how heavy mine is but I nearly did myself an injury carrying it just a few yards.

I have a solid oak desk. It's like an old friend.

I believe it came from Oak Furniture Land and my ex paid about a grand for it. What I will say is the drawers are invaluable to me. And yes, my cables look like crap. I am still working on my final solution. Not easy when you have about six headphone amps and god knows what else haha.
