well i had the blade II and i have to say its the most amazing watch i own, soon as i seen it i had to have it, that cost 550 if i remember correct, but so worth it. But yes i agree 3k is a slight jump. But im only 21 once ?

I just don't get this obession of getting treats for reaching a certain age (especially when being young, something else when you lived to 100 or something). What is so amazing about reaching 21 that deserve spending £3000 on a object that improves your qualifty of life by absolute zero percent? Nevermind on an oakley watch that isn't even a real watch maker, you are paying for the brand and the Oakley name isn't worth £3,000.

If you're spending that kind of money go for a "proper" watch. Obviously there's Rolex, Omega, Tag - but many other quality watches as well, all with an infinitely better heritage than Oakley. They'll last forever and you'll always want to wear them - with those Oakley's you'll wake up one day in the future and be like "OMG what was I thinking ". ;)

I personally think those Nano Wires are ming as well. They're very contemporary and seem to detract from the general sports/bulletproof nature of Oakleys, I think they just look like fashion specs.

I just bought a pair of Whiskers, I got them half price. I wish I'd bought a second pair for the 'bay though.

Crazy money, 3K for an Oakley watch! 3K buys you a nice chunk of a proper watch made by a watch company rather than a sunglasses company (think Rolex, Omega, Breitling)

 3k?????????????:eek::eek::eek::eek: your rents are gonna spend 3k on a watch for your 21st :eek::eek: do you want a brother??? I wouldnt of had the balls to ask for that much

Becoming 21 is great! I've managed to stretch my 21st birthday out over 3 years. Got my watch as a "21st birthday" present at the age of 24. :p

More pics of the Blade II please (version?) - I quite like it - be a good daily watch...

That other one Im afraid is horrible - if you want to spend 3k on a watch then its an investment - just dont think an Oakley watch is ever going to be revered in the same breath as a Brietling/Omega etc...

I cant help but think you will be disappointed by your choice over time...

ps3ud0

mate - i love oakley as much as the next guy. i'd even spend 500 squid on one if i had it.

but 3k is a total waste and the resale value when/if you change your mind will be horrific.

take a look at Panerei or IWC and you will see a totally different class of watch. This kind of watch will turn the heads of all.

Personally i spent a small fortune on watches over the last 10 years, i lost one or two - a few i don't wear. I keep my Rado (that i bought in the selfridges sale) for special occasions and wear an Animal cheapo on a daily basis.

I'd love a Panerei - but quite honetly i'd rather spend my money on something else other than another watch.
