Oakley sunglasses

Right then, with the sun slowly starting to appear again i have decided to splash out on some oakley's. Only problem is why are that expensive, am looking at getting these ones http://oakley.com/pd/4265/13930 with the black iridium lenses.
Can only find them for lyk £150 when searching around, but yet they are selling for $160 (wtf??) so where would be the best place to pick up a pair? Have had a look on the bay but dont have what im after!

Probably importing from the States if you can. By the way they are worth every penny IMO!! I have several pairs and my g/f bought me a custom made pair last year :D (something available on the USA website)
 
They are one of the newest ranges of glasses i believe (at least that was what i was told). Don't forget, It's $160 so that's £80, then the UK government ask you to bend over and take one so they can get their share, then the retailer needs a cut too!

Rubens Menswear is sometimes a bit cheaper, I've ordered from there before a couple of years back and they were fine then. Oakleys are fantastic though, I'm still using a pair of original Eye Jackets which must be knocking on for 10 years old now and I'm dreading the day they collapse because I've not seen another pair I like quite so much.
 
Oright hmm given me somethin to think about.. is a freespirit near by that have a sale still going on so might pop into there!
Say if i did import from the states, any sites you could reccomend? any major complications?
 
If you do import from the US, you could get stung for import duty, VAT and customs charges i believe, been a while since i have imported anything though.
 
I have square wire 2.0s with a yellow lens, they are cool :cool:

I got them in a shop called "sunglass time" in Cheshire oaks (a designer outlet) for £105 about 4 years ago (they were selling for £155 back then)

What's wrong with replicas?

I don't have any myself. Couldn't convince my Dad to buy me some when we went to Cyprus (real ones).
 
Im after some GOOD PERFORMING, nice sunglasses, not bothered if there a brand name, I had some bloc ones with max performance, cost about £30, but lost now :( then some tesco ones for a fiver and fell apart :( any ideas where to get some good ones?

They won’t be anywhere as good, try a real pair then a fake pair then you will understand. A lot of people (myself included) don’t just wear them for the name.
 
99% of the time. People look stupid wearing them becuase they don't suit their face shape. It's the whole "look i have bright orange lenses which make me cool but my face is a mile in diameter and the frame is about 2micron thick." If you're climbing everest or in the middle of the sahara then great, but most people still think they're living int he last millenium
 
What a shame.

I just sold a pair of Oakleys on fleabay. Blue Ice and I never wore them. You could have had them for £30 and I paid £90 for them.

im looking and getting some prescription oakleys gonna cos me a packet though but better then always using contacts in summer so I can get out the sunnies hehe, gonna get an oakley flak jacket with ice iridium lenses cant wait just specing up now
