Oblivion - Black soul gems

Can someone give me a clue on how to make Black soul gems? I am needing one for one of the Daedric quests.

I've seen a necromancer do it - you wait until there is a beam of light shining at an alter and put your gems in and then cast a dispel spell. Now, I'm using a Staff of Dispel which I found and nothing's happening. Do I need to use a Dispel spell or scroll?

I think you must use a soul trap not dispel

Ah! Thanks - that was it. Soul trap was the right spell to cast! Now to go and find me some humans to kill.
