Howdy,

This may have already been asked, but a search didn't find anything! I have Oblivion on the PC, and got it quite a while ago and LOVED every minute of it (although I never completed it... if you can actually complete it that is?). I feel like playing it again really, and seeing as the expansion Knights of the Nine is out now, I want to get that also.

But is it worth me getting Oblivion and Knights on the 360? Or just get Knights on the PC? Basically what I am asking is, is Oblivion better on the 360? If you had the choice of both machines, what one would you get it on? Or for those that have it on both... what one do you prefer?

Your thoughts will be greatly appreciated!

my favourite game on the 360 at the mo,, just like the feel of it and the freedom,, its not in your face all the time etc,, knights of the nine , is very good, ive nearly completed it, it wont look as good as the pc version, not wth the patch inhancements i have seen, but still a great game ;)

I recently bought Oblivion for my 360 after having it on PC. Overall I have to say the game is better on PC for the only fact that you can mod it to high heaven which leaves the game open to great improvements.

But comparing the games like for like then the only difference is the graphics as with a high end PC, Oblivion looks a lot sharper on PC.

I bought it because I enjoyed the game and after loosing all my saves for the PC version after a format I thought I'd give it a go on 360.

When I first got it, my graphics card only did Shader Model 2 and hence I missed out on some eye candy. So I got the 360 version. If your PC can handle it nicely then get it PC otherwise go for 360. There are no frame rate drops on the 360 just some really mad loading times, once you get going but this can be rectified by clearing the cache.

I still think my PC version of it looks crap compared to the 360. Colours seem more vivid on the 360 and the frame rate more consistent.

I don't own a 360 but a lot of people said for what you got the 360 was better value. As in it won't cost the earth to play the game looking nice. As time gose by and people can set everything to max on the PC version but your going to need a PC that's going to cost insane money.

if your PC can run it, get it for the PC. The PC version has an absolutely massive modding community and you'll find that with the last game Morrowind, the mods make the game

I would personaly prefer the PC version as you just can't beat the good old keyboard + mouse for first person type games.

Im holding off playing Oblivion and getting the knights expansion until i upgrade my system sometime next year as i can then turn the eye candy right up to the max :D but i could have a long wait and just play it anyways.

If eye candy is your thing then i guess the 360 would be great if you got a low spec system as you would get a lot more atmosphere with more detail in this kind of game.

I played this a lot on my (good spec) PC and really enjoyed it, I only bought Oblivion for the Xbox so my Mum could play it, but after having a go I found it to be very enjoyable, currently put in about 20 hours on this character.

Although the view is first person and I'm one of the first to moan about the lack of a keyboard and mouse I have to say it plays very well on the 360 pad.
