US, July 9, 2007 - Though it was released only a few months ago on the PlayStation 3, Bethesda Softworks is ready to re-release The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion in the form of its Game of the Year Edition.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition will incorporate all of the content found in a number of its downloadable updates, including the Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine expansion packs. Shivering Isles adds an additional 30 hours of gameplay to the already massive base game, while Knights of the Nine features a new faction and a number of quests for noble characters to round out the "good guy" route a little more.

The Game of the Year Edition release will make use of existing save games, allowing gamers to pick up where they've left off if they already own the original Oblivion release.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition is scheduled for release this September.

Also going to be available for the PC and 360 for those who dont have the game and/or expansion packs. Hopefully it will be sold at a cheaper price too.

bit harsh on PS3 gamers :D

Shivering isles is about 30-40 hours, Knights of the nine is about 5 i think, as far the other little ones, range from about 30mins to an hour or two.

I just sold my last copy of Oblivion, but this might be tempting to get as it has all the extras added in....gives me the chance to make a new style character aswell.

I have a guilty brain though, if i spend a whole day on a game, i always think that i should be doing something more productive! :(

I'm not alone on that one tho..... :D

Haven't played the Shivering Isles expansion yet, but have done the Knights of the Nine, Meruhnes Razor, Dunbarrow Cove, Wizards Tower and Deepscorn Hollow. Out of that lot, only Knights of the Nine is a proper quest, the rest are just extras that a little bit to the game but aren't really needed.

I've completed main quest and starting all the sidequests/guilds. When I've completed those I'll start on KoTN, then I might get this just for the Shiver Isles.

Shivering Isles offers a lot more gameplay. A whole new continent (about 1/4 the size of the main game) and about 10/15 hours for the main new quest and another 15 hours with additional side quests / dungeons.

I've completed it and the main quest is excellent and well worth playing.

Hmm, I could be tempted, depending on the price of it of course. I haven't bought any additions to the OBlivion game, but if this launches at a good price that might save me a couple of quid I could be swayed.

Shivering Isles is alright, but nothing amazing. Being a vampire probably swayed my opinion of it though since I had t do everything at night. Preferred the main game.

I loved Oblivion (thanks UE), never played any game like it before in my life and racked up over 200hrs with very little breaks.

I'll probably consider this based on it's price.

Agreed, theres simply nothing that comes close to this game. Glad they still seem to be chucking resources at it. Cant wait for the next installment, imagine it but with landscapes like we're seeing on the new DX10 screenies such as Crysis (granted not on 360, but i got a hefty PC too).
