Hi There.

Oblivion GOTY is on its way to me, and should get it tomorrow! :D

Anywho, I'm just wondering how the exspansions work as I believe they come on seperate discs, do you put them in and they install to your harddrive?

Im confused as they are available to download too.

Many Thanks!

The GOTY Edition is one disc......Shivering Isles can be bought separate on disc or via PSN, so i assume it will install on to the HDD to allow uninterrupted play :)

nice one, Lots of people seem to hate oblivion on here, but its one of the best games ive ever played.

I got it for 360 on release.....Hated it, sold it and then got it for PS3 on release and forced myself to play it and loved it......Got tired of waiting for Shivering Isles, so i got the 360 version again and done it all over with Shivering Isles.......

Now i'm considering the GOTY Edition on PS3............ :o:(

^^ Lol :D

I'm not sure if I should play Oblivion or install them all at the same time, I dont want to get confused (I do easily) or do you have to do something to trigger the other two storys?

EDIT: Just got it through the post :)

There is a Statue that is used as a Portal to The Shivering Isles. You don't have to unlock it and you can come and go as you please to the Isles :)

I'd say i'm closer to the hate camp; it's not because I think it's a bad game, it's very good in it's own right. It's because I played Morrowind on PC first for an extended period and was largely disappointed with Oblivion after all the hype.

Saying that, the combat system is better in oblivion. :)

You'll come across the Knights of the Nine stuff as you go along. I can't remember the exact locations of where you can start the storyline. If you Google Oblivion UESPWiki. You'll get all your answers and everything you need to know about Oblivion there. As soon as someone mentions a Pilgrimage of Ayelid ruins. Your on your way ;)

Does anyone know how you get hold of the more advanced alchemy equipment? There only seems to be novice stuff. As I'm an apprentice, I should use apprentice mortar and pestle, right? I did see a journeyman retort in an Ayleid ruin in a previous game. Do they just appear as random loot in the dungeons?
