I have just bought a 360 over the weekend and I am thinking about getting Oblivion to add to my games. I am halfway through playing Oblivion on the PC and have stopped playing due to my character and tactics being too successful = boring.

Any advice on creating a powerful but interesting character. At the moment I am 100% sneak/ranged archer with 100% summoning skills - too easy. I am looking at something different to my PC character maybe something melee or battle mage?

The difficulty setting just makes combat take longer but not really easier. My enemies hardly ever see me or I run very fast and then come back for them or my summoned monsters clean up. I have not tried a melee character - are they fun to play and does it require skill.

I suppose I want to play oblivion on the 360 because I can do it lying down and games just seem to look awesome on my 32" HDTV - my PC CRT is the weak link in my PC system.

Doesn't your PC look good on your TV?

If not, you could always get a Dell 2405fpw/2407wfp, both look good on that :D

EDIT: or the larger one again (3005/3007?) ... though ive never seen one.

The PC is in the study and the HDTV is the bedroom and moving either is not an option. I suppose the next big upgrade will have to be a LCD. I have only seen and played 2 360 games on my HDTV and they are Dead Rising and Saints row and I am amazed at how good they look.
