Oblivion Help: Thieves Guild Final Quest

Refering to The Ultimate Heist, i have just done the statue section and have fired the arrow etc....

But the problem is as soon as i go through the door to the guards quaters, even though i dont move (sneaking also) no boots on etc, a guard on the right pretty much instantly spots me, each time.....

Its really annying as im finding impossible to do the quest because of it.... Am i doing something wrong>

you probably need a higher sneak skill, get trained up, and improve your abilitys there. Another option is to get the 'No psychic guards' mod which alters the guards AI to be more 'realistic', i.e. they have to spot you to see you, makes sense as sometimes there not even looking and they detect u !, checkout elder scroll source for all mods, including that, and some good graphics mods to make it look even better !

I've JUST this second completed that quest - but I had a sneak rating of 93, no one saw me except the very last room. Then all I got was a "huh?" and I was gone

Anything less than 80 and I'd reckon you'd struggle. Apprently most people found they've had to kill the guards to finish the quest.

I took some invisibility potions with me, worked a treat, didnt use them untill the last room and I had a sneak of about 45, I think there are some high level chameleon and invisibility potions in the ante chamber to the mages room.

Apparently this mission is quite buggy, although I didn't run into any problems...I had no real sneak skill although +7 sneaky boots
