Oblivion help (thieves guild) spoiler alert!!!

Haven't been able to join it yet? I've been told in Bravil I think to visit a garden at The Imperial City Waterfront for info at midnight, problem is I can't see a garden there? does it have to be midnight exactly or do they hang around for a bit?

you have it as your active quest? as in you have a green arrow that directs you behind a small hut (a beggers garden). if so and you don't have a bounty on your head the TG member won't show up. get a bounty, get there around 12 and wait around as sometimes NPC's get held up.

I don't have it as a quest at all and don't have a bounty! Ok..I'm off to knick some stuff

Any idea where the quest comes from?

goto waterfront , turn round 180 go thro arch turn right and jump over the back wall of the first house,thats the garden.

soon as you get told where to go, be that by begger or letter, joining the guild will be listed in your current quests log. click the quest, then click the map button that then shows up, it'll set that quest as your active quest and then give you an arrow on the map. quests where you don't get such directions often mean you need to talk to people.

That's my problem, I know how the quest log/marker system works but the quest doesn't appear??

You might need to do some time in jail first. Try to pickpocket a guard and get your self nicked.

You just need to bribe a beggar to get the thieves guild quest, after thier disposation( how well they like you) is high just ask about the grey fox they tell you to head to the garden in the waterfront at 12am.

Ok... i'm currently doing the "Lost Histories" quest for the guild and i have to find some thief who's gone missing... i've spoken to the prisoner in the dungeon of the castle and he said some "pale lady" took him away... then she took some other bleeding lizard guy that very day. Now the quest has no green marker arrows and i have no idea who to talk to.

The theif was there to steal a book or something. I stole some "travelers diary" from a display case next to the counts throne... i'm not sure if that was the same castle or has anything to do with the quest. but i stole it before i started the quest.

When i 1st tried it i looked everywhere for blood but couldnt find any, then like an idiot i went bac to the cell and what did i c but blood, spent half a hour ruuning about upstairs looking for it.
