Oblivion Intro Video Stuttering/Tearing

Ages ago when I tried the Oblivion the game ran fine, but any cutsceanse ie the intro video of the king talking would stutter and tear, I remeber I sorted it but was ages ago and cant remeber what I did, does this ring a bell with anyone ? Gfx card is Nvidia 6800GT
Think I might have had to install some video codec to sort it, but cant be sure.

the ffdshow codec seems to ring a bell..

edit: it may be from the wrong reasons though.. looking at google that is.

Mine was because of VSync :rolleyes:
