Oblivion or dark massiah of might n magic?

Personally i liked oblivion when i was playing it but i kinda drifted away from it due to the slow fps when outside.

How is DMoMM like performance wise with max settings or medium. As from the trailer the DMoMM game looks a lot better and looks like u can do cooler attacks etc.

So erm whats the overall opinion on game vs game and in which aspects? Also as i said how does it compare on hardware strain as in performance maxed etc. Also which is more fun and more realistic with physics etc?

Sry btw if its been debated before. Just with it being only £14.99 at a certain online game store we all know and love i was thinking of buying it. And woundering how multiplayer on it might be like.

I have oblivion. Its good but as i said i kinda lost interest in it, and was woundering if its worth getting DMoMM cos it looks in trailer so much cooler with better monsters and characters and no stupid animal heads. :p

i have both and i must say DMMAM is soo much fun to play well worth its price tag. Although people say the multiplayer is terrible its worth it just for the single player.

In my personal opinion i think that the multiplayer is pritty good.

My bad :/ Dark Messiah is a very good game, since the demo i've struggled to run it on my system as for me seems to have a memory leek or fps glitch somewhere. (via steam) as i said could just be my computer. But i think if you played the demo and loved it. Get it. ... thats what i did

Oblivion any day. In Oblivion, the fun never ends, and you can play it for ages without getting bored, especially due to the insane number of mods and modders out there. With DM, the experience of "Woah! This game is cool!" lasts for about a day or two, after that it's just another mediocre first-person-slasher. Hurrah for Oblivion!

It's difficult to compare between DM and Oblivion, because while they have so many similarities, they're very different games - oblivion being fairly open ended while DM is a linear game and as such 'smaller'

I have them both, and while I got oblivion much cheaper than DM (got oblivion after DM), I still think Dark Messiah was a better buy. The combat system is much better and it looks and feels like your blade actually hit something. In oblivion it just looks like you're slashing at air to me, and the character happens to be responding as if they've been hit.

I didn't get very far into oblivion before I got bored. I don't see much in the way of physics in oblivion - despite the fact that I've read reviews that say there is lots of realistic physics.

DM runs ~40fps average on max settings (1440x900) for me. Oblivion is more of a struggle and I tend to run it with HDR off. With the exception of the exteriors (which is rather a big exception) I think dm looks better anyway.
Some people have problems with bugs etc so you probably want to read the appropriate forums for DM (steam, ubisoft?) to see what issues you may face.

In short if you're more into linear FPSs then DM will feel much more familiar. If you're into RPGs then oblivion may be best.

Make sure you finish the tutorial next time then - that's the only boring bit of the game, and it's important as it sets the scene and storyline.

lol. I wasn't counting the tutorial as part of the game. If I had seriously not played past that then there would be something wrong with me... I've played it for at least 6 hours. It doesn't help that it's not a hugely stable game and alt-tabbing as I was wont to do when I only had one monitor tends to break it.

Oblivion I found boring after awhile. The world felt stale and boring after some time playing it. I played it for quite awhile but closed it one day and never opened it again.

Dark Messiah is a different kind of game though, more an FPS than RPG. Great game though, good fun, worse ending ever though!

Get both, different Genres, Oblivion is RPG DMoMM is FPS

Have them both, I like them a lot!!! Especially modded Oblivion is one of the most beautifull games! and DM has unique and great battles :)

Got both games.
Have not touched Dark Messiah yet.
Spend all my time playing Oblivion with Oscuro's Overhaul Mod.
I think I've got nearly 170 hours play time out of it so far & I'm still not even half way through it!
Working my way through all the guild quests & daedric quests before continuing with the main quest.

Is there any mods for oblivion that enhances the game but doesnt spoil or change the game too much. Like gfx updates and tweaked ai and stuff?

Also whats the no 1 best mega mod for oblivion. Include links if possible. Cheers.

Seems to be Obscuro's Oblivion Overhaul, a really huge mod that changes a lot of things to do with levelling and adds a fair bit of stuff. It's on my list, next character will be on OOO :)
