Oblivion out of control

Just started my first game - from the very beginning it's like the game thinks i'm strafing - no keys pressed.

I have:
Remapped the keys, and remapped them back again
Restarted a game, twice
Rebooted PC

It's annoying - I Can't even get out of the first room properly...

Any advice?

you dont have any joystick or the like plugged in?

sometimes causes that issue in other games

As a matter of fact I do... duh - forgot about that one - it's fallen down behind the desk...

Hehe, got a chuckle out of that as well. At least it's sorted.

If it makes you feel any better any spent ages reinstalling drivers the other day when my monitior colours were all messed up only to find the lead was a bit loose. Blamed my wife on it as well as she was using the pc earlier.

Hi,

If you want to leave it connected just change

bUse Joystick=1 to bUse Joystick=0
In oblivion.ini (in my documents\my games\oblivion )
