Oblivion performance tweking

In Oblivion, what are the best settings to lower to get smoother gameplay....without impacting the graphics that much?

Try these.

But first changes are to reduce grass distance (and height via the tweak mentioned) and reduce shadows. In particular, turn off tree shadows.

Probably the draw distance sliders (although not the overall view distance). Also, shadow filter and some reflection options.

Streamline 3.1 (requires Oblivion Script Extender)
Operation Optimization

Should help a lot.
