Oblivion Quest Problem

I have recently restarted Oblivion again as was bored of my Argonian and after doing Azzan's first Fighters Guild Quest - The Rat Problem I try to cash in the reward with the woman with the rats, but it keeps crashing on me and kicking me out.

I can deny that Quill is involved and cash the reward that way, but lose out on the free training, but when I go see Quill and advise her I kept her secret, it crashes when she offers me her free training as a reward.

I cannot complete this quest as a result because Azzan keeps sending me back to the rat woman for completion. Anyone else had this problem?

Well, for a start - is it an Oblivion crash, or is it the whole PC crashing? Any clues as to what caused the crash other than your choice of dialogue?

What mods are you running? Have you tried disabling most/all of them?

Its an oblivion crash, as everything else works fine. I have no mods in use at the moment.

Therefore it leads me to think that its the choice of dialogue that causes the crash, as if I select the alternative dialogue with rat woman its fine. However, it then crashes at Quill.
