Oblivion Remastered - Mods

Looks like they found the issue with stuttering/frame issues using Framegen and RESHADE!

Yes deactivating Generic Depth Buffer in Addons solved my stutter problems with FG on. ( Press Home, then go to Addons tab ) Reload game

A Painted World Remastered - Reshade Preset

Latest Reshade has some issues, worth trying 5.8.0

They seriously need to get this right in the stock game though, though I think somewhat it might actually be a UE limitation which can't be fixed properly just compensated for somewhat with external post processing :( as it seems to curse a lot of UE games.

I remember Starfield being really bad with lens flare and that brown dog crap colour all over the screen. That was fixed in the end...

Downloaded because it should have been included in the main game!

I remember in the original game someone had made a keychain mod, has anyone come something similar for the remaster? The inventory system literally gives me aids with the amount of scrolling you have to go through.

This helps with the UI.

This QoL mod is a must have for me.

Out of interest, is anyone making their own mods for the remastered version? I made a few for the original game, but most no longer work. Anything that calls assets seems to be borked. For example, I made a player home at Weye, but all that shows up is the door. And if I open that, the game crashes. The variables seem to work in an odd way as well. I can open the mod in the original editor, and save it. I change the function fActorStrengthEcumbranceMult from a value of 5 (the default) to 10. The game says that the encumbrance of my character with strength 65 is now 650. But... I actually get encumbered at 325 - the value in the background has not changed. It looks like Virtuos have added a load of scripts in the background that "translate" the values in the .esm to something that the new version can understand.

I can confirm that the 'Ultimate engine tweak' did indeed make the game playable on my laptop but it looked so bad (well, not that bad but bad enough) that I decided to shelve it until I could play it properly on my main pc.

If I had no alternative I would have carried on but seeing as the main reason for this remaster seems to be purely cosmetic I'd better play it looking nicer.

Still waiting for Skyblivion to appear as I feel that might the rewrite I'd want, and yes, I will start a new game and do all this again :)

Ultimate engine tweak

Version 3.2
Fixed occasional flickering of distant elements (e.g. clouds, backgrounds)
Reduced HUDs/Texts ghosting when using upscalers
Additional performance optimization
Version 3.1
Fixed VRAM leaks re-introduced with v3.0
Fixed textures/assets streaming (e.g. slow loading) for some configurations
Further increased performance with some re-tweaking
Improved stability and further mitigated the risk of crashes
Version 3.0
Biggest Engine.ini overhaul I've ever made: 150+ new optimizations added and re-tuned many of the already present!
Performance should be even higher and more consistent
Stutters should be even lower and shorter
Stability should be better and crashes further mitigated

From what I hear the old engine handles the backend stuff so anything graphical is UE5 including animations its a weird hybrid
