Oblivion shadows problems

Any one else got funny shadows on peoples faces and stripey horses?
Tryed googling the problem and its not just me. However I cant find an answer.

yeah i get it too, lot of other people do according to the official forums. you can turn shadows off to get rid of the problem, not much of a solution i know but there doesn't seem to be anything else that can be done until we get the patch.

Turn off self shadows. I'm not sure the game'd look a whole lot better even if they did work properly, but I'd like to see some screenies anyway
