Well, I've waited, I've F5'd, refreshed and looked at friends list and STILL no one has mentioned about this (it's been out about 6 hours! )

Just in case you don't know, the first official plugin is now available to download and it's absolutely brilliant!

What a nice birthday pressie! (hint hint)

Mentioned it in the Oblivion story thread somewhere below :p Just didn't want to start a new topic about a tiny thing :D

Tbh I found it pretty rubbish. Took 12mins to do and there just wasn't any decent reward apart from a pointless spell. At 150 points I can't complain but I wish there was more of a story to it or it had some depth. For once I can stand with the whingers on xbox.com and say that it wasn't the best start we could have had for content.

I got this yesterday, just noticed it when I went to buy the Horse Armour, thought I'd have this too. Not played Oblivion for 3 weeks, still buying stuff. Gonna get coursework out the way then hammer it :).

Personally I think they should focus on making the patch at least then people would be able to play the game properly.

I agree, but I'd guess they've got a seperate person working on this. I just downloaded the Wizards Tower and can safely say from 10mins of walking about, that it's very nice and worth the 150 points this time.

It's basically a 'free' house/tower that is ideal for a mage/alchemy char. I'm a lv32 knight sooo it'll take some getting used to, although I'm training alchemy soon. There is a lot of good design for this tower and it looks lovely from the outside with lots of mage portals leading to various bits of the house. The upper levels have portals to every mages guild in Cyrodil!

There are some secrets apparently too, but I'll look at those when I get home.

What are these points you speak of?

Oh wait a second this is the console forum. I was sure that plugin had been out for weeks lol.

Whilst I will probably be buying this I really don't like this kind of add-on for real cash. I would much prefer that you could buy the tower with ingame currency.
I can see a market for ready made level 30 characters, uber swords and such like developing. Then again as it is not online play and will not affect my game as such then why not? Hmmmm confused now, where's my coffee....

It's extra work for the developers which is why it costs extra money, which I don't mind paying. You pay £20 for a PC add-on, so why not pay a couple of quid here and there for some good add-ons for Oblivion.

I don't mind paying a small fee for good value/quality content as long as developers don't abuse this feature and start purposely leaving out content to milk us later...

You can see where your points have gone with this download, some work has been put in unlike the Orryeyryr.

Ok just bought the Wizards tower but how do i get to it? Don't have any new map markers? It added the new content at the main menu :/ Is it something you have to find or what?

Upon firing up your savegame you should get a message talking about your inheritance, could check your journal to see if anything new is in there. The orrery worked the same way.

Time to refresh your memory regarding the no competitor rule.

:p

Edit : Oh and the upgrades to the Wizards Tower are very nice, i dig the Garden!
