Basically I've had it for ages but I'm just gettin into it properly now. I've been to Jauffre and now I've been to see Martin. Problem is he won't come until I can get everyone out...I think I need to close the oblivion gate but I haven't got many health pots and it's rock hard.

/needs help.
 
Go sleep, then go, remember to pack lots of potions, Kvatch is the hardest gate you eill ever do, make sure you do it low level though :eek: Its IMPOSSIBLE at 50+. Lightning works really well against the daedra beasts.
What weapon do you use? I did it lvl 12 with a shock enchanted elven lmace. I think the weapon is in a cave just north of Anvil. Beware though, the marauders are tough there.

Well you could always just run through but then you dont get all the valuable items! Some endurance potions should do. I ran through a couple gates late game when its just stupid to do them. Cloak wont hurt lol :p Depends on what level you are really
 
No, you can complete the game lvl 1 really. Thats why mods are for :) Try OOO 1.3 or Francescos mod! I remember seeing an Oblivion mod thread here.. U should look there
 
Just do the missions. The vanilla oblivion is leveled with you so even if you run into for example ogres they will be roughly the same level as you. So no super monsters in vanilla ob. Easy game without OOO or Fran :( Stupid leveling system ruined the game. Oh if there werent mods :p


btw winning the grey prince lvl1 is plain stupid

u reckon i should wack one of those mods on now?? before i ruin it even more ??

i thought i had a thing to sort that...legendary master mod or sommin, but now i think about it i think that was just to let the skills gains go higher than 100, i must admit i have had to turn the difficulty slider to harder coz i seem to be 1 hitting everything and that is boring!!
 
I just started a new game with OOO + MMM and still level 1 after a few hours play but it's going alright. Only problem is that I keep running into monsters that I have no chance against and chase me for MILES. Picked up a hill giant near Chorrol and he slaughtered a guard and 2 brothers at the priory before I got him stuck on a wall and finished him off with fireballs.
 
Robert, you do know that you can adjust the game difficulty in game don't you?

if you are finding it "rock hard" at the moment lower the difficulty slightly via the options menu so that it's challenging, but still fun.

Aha you need to go HERE *Shameless post advertising :D *

specifically look for the link Oblivion UESP wiki (first page of topic) and go there. tons and tons of advice. Read it properly and you'll never need to ask another oblivion question again!
