Oblivion Vista performance

I have got Vista x64 and a 8800gtx.

just wondering how Oblivion plays on Vista? Is it playable or are the crap drivers a real drag?

Playing it on vista64 with a 7600sg, and it's quite smooth once I dial down a few of the detail sliders.

That's with the latest nvidia drivers, so a 8800 should chew it up.

is there a noticeable performance decrease compared to playing it on xp?

Not that I can tell. Haven't really noticed a performance hit in general in the games I've installed so far, but most of them are on my main PC which has an ati card - I've seen people complaining about the nvidia drivers, but it seems to vary from game to game.

Im using vista x64 and 1059, @ 1280x1024 and its pretty jerky for me.

thats suprisingly negligible, but still pants that Nvidia havent got quality drivers out!

It runs fine on my setup but as there is no overclocking in the Vista drivers possible yet performance is lower for me.

But there are no stability problems at all and with the 100.59 drivers forced AA with HDR also works.

Its been decent here, getting 80+ FPS outside 1280/960 everything on max, around 200 FPS inside.

Xp was around 100+ Outside.
